We Love Lucy

Tonight while folding the clothes we put in a DVD that I checked out from the library in an attempt to indoctrinate me with a little Spanish, so we watched the pilot for "I Love Lucy".

Much to our amazement, the kids—Sofi especially—LOVED the show. Sofi giggled and squealed in such a way that I normally don't see unless she is hanging out with Zander. The kids liked the show so much that they asked to watch the next one, and when it was time for bed Sofi was begging to watch more.

It's easy to see why Sofi likes it so: Lucy is, for the most part, acting like a silly girl in an adult body. With all the physical humor it is right up her alley. For our part Mary and I enjoyed watching Sofi as much as, if not more than, watching Lucy.

Wouldn't be surprised if we end up watching the entire run (and getting a lot of laundry done).
